School Uniform

Gade Valley has a school uniform of navy and gold.  As a school we feel that wearing a uniform should be strongly re-enforced and we count on your support in this.

 

 You can order and pay for uniform online via Brigade Uniform, please follow the link below and search for Gade Valley School.   www.brigadeuniformdirect.uk.com or by navigating to the 'Brigade Logo' on the front screen of the school website.

 

Alternatively uniform can be purchased from local shops in line with the schools requirements set out below.

 

New parents will be invited to an evening meeting in the summer term where uniform will be on display for orders to be placed for September start.

 

Children are expected to be neatly dressed for school.  All items of clothing should be marked with the child’s name.

 

School Uniform

 

  • Navy sweatshirt (with or without our school logo)
  • Navy cardigan (with or without school logo)
  • Gold polo shirt (with or without school logo)
  • Navy trousers (tailored) or navy shorts (tailored) if preferred
  • Navy pinafore dress or skirt
  • Navy or yellow gingham checked dress
  • Navy, black, white or grey tights or socks.

 

Shoes

  • Smart black shoes
  • No boots.

Children may also bring trainers for playtimes.
In the event of wet and muddy weather children could bring wellington boots.

 

PE Kit

  • Navy shorts and white t-shirt (crew or collared)
  • Tracksuits in navy or dark colours, are useful for cold weather ie. Joggers / sweat tops / fleeces
  • Your will require trainers for PE.

All footwear for PE should fit securely to provide the best support.

PE kit should be worn on PE days .

 

Hair

Hair styles and colour should also be simple and natural.  Please do not send your child to school with shaved areas of hair/patterns.

Hair must be held back from the face, please use a simple, plain hair band.

 

Jewellery

The wearing of jewellery of any kind, including earrings and studs, is not permitted, except where ears have been pierced.  In this case small gold or silver studs are allowed.  They must be taped over for PE lessons and removed for swimming.

 

Nail Polish, False Nails and Nail Extensions

These must not be worn in any circumstance. 

The school reserves the right to decide whether or not items of clothing, hair styles and other items brought into school are appropriate for a place of education.
