Boys Football V Hobletts Manor Junior School

On Thursday the 9th of November we played Hobletts Manor Junior School. It was a very close match as both teams put up a great performance. Most of our team were very nervous as this was one of their first proper matches they have played. We started the match quite well and then the ball came to one of their defenders and I ( Elliott ) tackled him and ran to goal and scored. Gade Valley 1-0 up. Everyone was happy and felt more confident as I scored. We got a couple more chances but couldn't score.

Second half: one of their players got a goal but we still had are heads up and kept complementing each other. The match was quite intense until they nicked a goal and we were 2-1 down. We kept going and complemented each other even more. Then George Wisker was a goal saver and chased down an unmarked player and did a brilliant slide tackle. Then the whistle went and we lost 2-1. Well played everyone!

Man of the match - Charlie from his great performance.

We had a fantastic time and would like to thank Yewtree for participating in this fantastic event- we really enjoyed all the games and every child showed great sportsmanship and enthusiasm (even in the hot weather!)
