Artificial Intelligence (AI)

At Gade Valley Primary School, we recognise the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and society. Our priority is to ensure that any use of AI supports safe, responsible, and high-quality learning experiences for our pupils.

We do not use AI to replace teaching or human interaction. Instead, we may make limited use of AI tools to support staff with tasks such as planning, administration, or creating learning materials. All AI use is supervised by trained adults, and no decisions about pupils are made solely by AI.

We are committed to protecting pupil privacy. We do not share personal or identifiable information with AI systems, and we follow strict data-protection guidelines at all times.

As technology continues to evolve, we will review our approach regularly and communicate any updates to our school community. Our aim is to ensure that pupils benefit from new technologies in a safe, ethical, and age-appropriate way.

If you have questions about how AI is used in our school, please contact the school office.

Gade Valley Primary School is committed to their Public Sector Equality Duty and the need to:

  • Eliminate discrimination
  • Advance equality of opportunity
  • Foster good relations

We have produced our Equality Policy to share our equality information and this, along with our accessibility plan will be reviewed in a timely manner.  In addition, we have our four year objectives, which form part of our Equality Policy.
