British Values
At Gade Valley Primary School we value the diverse backgrounds of all our pupils, their families and our staff. We are mindful of the Department of Education’s requirement within the Prevent Strategy (2001):
“To create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”

As part of our Children in Need event, we held a special 'Pie Assembly'! Staff competed against each other in two teams. Each team was set a number of challenges by Mr Barron. For example, staff had to complete a blind food tasting challenge and build the tallest tower they could out of scrap paper! Each member of the both teams was, of course, 'pied' in the face at some point! Our pupils loved this assembly!
In order to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need, pupils (and their families) we given the opportunity to compete in the Great Gade Valley Bake Off.
All the entries were judged by Mr Barron and the cakes sold after school.
Thank you to our school community for supporting the event!
