Our History Learning at Gade Valley
In Year 2, the pupils have been learning about famous History Makers, such as Elizabeth I, Malala and Hatsheput. They compared their achievements and decided who was the greatest history maker.
In Year 3, the pupils' have been learning about how ancient Britons lived during the new Stone Age and the old Stone Age.
In year 4, the pupils' have been learning about the Vikings. They learned about the attack on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

Our History Learning at Gade Valley
In History, the pupils have been learning about the local history of Hemel Hempstead. They learnt about important people who visited the area. They also visited the Old Town where they were able to point out Tudor houses. They then created their own Tudor houses using boxes and paint.
Year 5 have been learning about the local area. To help their understanding they took a trip to Hemel Hempstead Old Town where they found lots of plaques with information about the history of the buildings there.
Year 4 - In Year 4 the pupils have been learning about the Roman Empire. They have researched key figures from the Roman times as well has explored a range of artefacts to see what they can deduce from them.
