Our English Learning at Gade Valley

In Year 2, the pupils have written their own explanation texts about 'How to Look after your Monster? An owner's guide'. This work was based on the book "Monsters An Owner's Guide" by Jonathon Emmett and Mark Oliver. 

In Year 6. the pupils wrote fantasy stories based on the book "No Other Country" by Shaun Tan.

In Year 4, the pupils wrote persuasive letters about deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest. 

Reception pupils have been working on writing sentences using their phonics skills. They have been working hard to remember finger spaces.

In Year 1 the pupils went round the school grounds acting out the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears. This helped them to sequence the story for their writing.
