One way in which Hertfordshire provides support to children and young people with SEND across the country is through our delivering Provision Locally groups (DSPLs). For more information please click on the link below:
Gade Valley follows the statutory guidelines on child protection. The school has a ‘Child Protection’ Policy and this is available to any parent who wishes to read it upon request.
Each school has a nominated Designated Safeguarding Person and at Gade Valley this is Mr D Barron (Headteacher) and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Person is Mr G van der Westhuyzen.
Every adult working with the children in school has access to a copy of this policy and works within the given framework.
These procedures are only set in operation when the school has serious concerns about a child’s safety and welfare.
Please note that our school is a designated No Smoking school, which includes the school grounds.
For the safety of the children, we ask that you do not bring your dogs onto the school grounds.
We also ask that you do not use your mobile phones where children are present.
The Family Support Worker assigned to Gade Valley is Kim Morgan and she is available to any of you if you need her help or support. Please ask the office if you need her contact details or visit their website on www.gadeschoolsfamilysupport.co.uk/
