School Uniform
Pupils are required to wear school uniform at Gade Valley School. As a school we feel that wearing a uniform should be strongly re-enforced and we count on your support in this.
Pupils are expected to be neatly dressed for school. All items of clothing should be marked with the pupil’s name.
Shoes
Pupils may also bring trainers for playtimes.
In the event of wet and muddy weather pupils could bring wellington boots.
PE Kit
PE kit should be worn on PE days.
Hair
Hair styles and colour should also be simple and natural.
Hair must be held back from the face, either by use of a simple plain hair band (for short hair) and an elastic band for longer hair.
Jewellery
The wearing of jewellery of any kind, including earrings and studs, is not permitted, except where ears have been pierced. In this case small gold or silver studs are allowed. They must be taped over for PE lessons and removed for swimming.
Nail Polish, False Nails and Nail Extensions
These must not be worn in any circumstance.
The school reserves the right to decide whether or not items of clothing, hair styles and other items brought into school are appropriate for a place of education.
