MONDAY 23RD MARCH 2020 - MR D BARRON
Following tonight's announcement by our Prime Minister, I must stress the importance of social distancing. As from tomorrow, we will only be offering critical childcare for those that desperately need it. That means we will only accept children if both parents are key workers or if single parents are key workers. You must follow advice and only leave your homes if absolutely necessary.
You can help to slow the spread of Coronavirus!
Make sure you and your children follow these general principles to prevent spreading any respiratory virus:
Wash your hands often – with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based sanitiser if soap and water aren’t available.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
If you feel unwell, stay at home and don’t attend work or school.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home.
If you’re worried about your symptoms, please call NHS 111 – don’t go directly to your GP or other healthcare environment.

Department for Education Coronavirus helpline - this helpline has been set up to answer questions about the virus related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline.

Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
If we receive a directive from Hertfordshire County Council, in light of the Coronavirus, to close our school, these are the ways in which we will inform you:
The Everbridge Notification System (HCC)
In the event of severe weather, a public emergency or unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for a school to close or partially close.
In order to ensure parents and guardians are informed as quickly as possible of anything that may have an impact on a normal school day, this notification system has been put in place to enable messages from schools to be sent immediately via text message, email and a voice message (if required).
Please take 5 minutes to register your details for any Hertfordshire school your child attends so that you can receive immediate information and updates.
