Chicken Fortnight

Monday 11th June 2018

Our eggs have arrived. At the moment, we have got 10 eggs in the incubator. The temperature of the incubator needs to be kept at 37.7°C (perfect in this lovely weather!) We will give you daily updates on the progress of the eggs. 

Tuesday 12th June

Our eggs are doing well. We are keeping a close eye on any movement or indication that the chicks are coming soon!

Wednesday 13th June- we have had 7 chicks today! We have moved 4 into the Brooder Box.

Thursday 14th June- we have 9 chicks! It's been very exciting to see them all in the Brooder Box today.

Friday 15th June- our 9 chicks are becoming more active and are enjoying discovering their wings (and the food!)

Monday 18th June and Tuesday 19th June- the chicks have really grown and are getting used to flapping their wings. They've enjoyed going into classrooms and being held by the children!
